Published in Senior Year Magazine: Push Play Photography Featured in the 2025 Sports Edition

I’m still smiling writing this — because this one feels really special.

Push Play Photography was officially published in Senior Year Magazine’s 2025 Sports Edition, and the featured image is one of our very own seniors — Xavier, a Hoven High School senior, photographed in his Post 100 Legion Baseball uniform.

And if you know Xavier, you know this isn’t just a uniform — it’s his heart.

Baseball is his truest love in life. Watching that passion come through in his portraits is what made this feature hit different for me. Seeing his story represented in a national print magazine is such a proud, full-circle moment.

Why this means so much

Over the past year, I’ve poured a lot of intention into growing my senior athlete photography — not just technically, but emotionally. I’ve worked hard to create sessions that don’t feel stiff or staged, but instead feel real, powerful, confident, and true to who these seniors are.

So being published isn’t just exciting — it’s validating in the best way.

Not because of the title…
Not because of the magazine…
But because it means the work, the growth, and the heart behind it is being seen.

And the best part? One of our seniors gets to be celebrated and showcased because of it.

About Senior Year Magazine

Senior Year Magazine is a reputable print publication that features high school juniors and seniors from photographers all across the World. The 2025 Sports Edition specifically highlights student athletes and the stories behind their drive, discipline, and dedication.

Being included in this edition is an honor I don’t take lightly — and I’m incredibly grateful for the recognition.

What Push Play Photography is really about

This is bigger than one image or one feature.

Push Play Photography is about:

  • Confidence-building senior sessions

  • Story-driven portraits

  • Athlete-focused senior photography

  • Meaningful experiences

  • Magazine-quality imagery

  • And seniors feeling PROUD of who they are becoming

I don’t believe senior photos should feel generic.

They should feel personal.
They should feel powerful.
They should feel like you.

For future seniors & families

If you’re looking for a senior photographer who specializes in athlete portraits, senior experiences, and storytelling photography, this is exactly what I pour my heart into.

Not just photos.
Not just poses.
Not just pretty locations.

But experiences that build confidence.
Images that feel timeless.
And portraits that actually mean something.

A grateful heart

To Xavier and his family — thank you for trusting me with something so meaningful: his story.

To every senior who chooses Push Play — I don’t take that trust lightly.

And to Senior Year Magazine — thank you for this incredible opportunity!

This one means more than you know.

With gratitude,
Chelsey
